Friday April 7th
2:30pm - The 29th Annual “Anniversary” Ride hosted by Devil’s Den State Park FOSSIL FLATS - Celebrate 29 years of mountain biking at Devil’s Den with a ride on one of the first mountain bike trails in the state. SPEED: Beginner to Intermediate DISTANCE: 6 miles
7:30pm - 12th Annual Devil’s Den State Park NIGHT Ride FOSSIL FLATS - Join BIG JOHN SANDY for the 12th Annual Devil’s Den NIGHT Ride and a ONCE A YEAR experience as the trails normally close at dark! SPEED: Beginner to Intermediate DISTANCE: 6 miles NOTE: All riders must have TWO sources of light and please use good judgment if considering taking children.
Saturday April 8th
9:00am “THE WHITE SQUIRREL” FAMILY RIDE at FOSSIL FLATS - Join FLIP PUTTHOFF and BOB CABLE on a family friendly adventure in search of the elusive White Squirrel on some of the earliest Arkansas single track! SPEED: Novice DISTANCE: 3 miles
10:00am INTERMEDIATE RIDERS WORKSHOP at FOSSIL FLATS - We’ll focus on enhancing rider’s technical mountain biking skills and picking better lines SPEED: Intermediate DISTANCE: 6 miles
10:30am ANNUAL LADIES RIDE at FOSSIL FLATS – Sorry bros, but this rides for the ladies! SPEED: Beginner to Intermediate DISTANCE: 6 miles
11:00am BEGINNER RIDERS WORKSHOP at FOSSIL FLATS - We’ll focus on rider’s basic bike handling skills, and ascending/descending while negotiating rugged terrain SPEED: Beginner DISTANCE: 4+ miles
12:00pm LEE CREEK SHENNANIGANS at the LEE CREEK CROSSING – We’ll take a mid-day break with spectatur friendly Mountain Bike competitons featuring the Lee Creek Water Crossing including a “Cannonball” big splash contest and slow races… in the creek!
1:00pm “THE WHITE SQUIRREL” EXPEDITION RIDE at FOSSIL FLATS – There’s a good chance that elusive White Squirrel eluded us this morning. Join us as we take a different approach in our search by riding the trails… backwards! SPEED: Beginner to Intermediate DISTANCE: 6 miles NOTE: For rider safety the hosted rides are directionally clockwise. This will be the days only official opportunity to experience the trail from a counter clockwise direction.
2:00pm KIDS SKILLS CLINIC Hosted by– Develop your cycling skills on our beginner friendly obstacle course with skinny’s, teeter-totters and more! START & END: Campsite “A” near site 14
2:30pm INTERMEDIATE GROUP RIDE at FOSSIL FLATS– Join us for this brisk group ride on portions of Hwy. 74, the Historic Butterfield Hiking Trail and Fossil Flats including the day’s longest descent, ascent, and mileage SPEED: Intermediate DISTANCE: 15 miles START & END: Fossil Flats Trailhead in Campsite “A” near site 15.
4:00pm “THE WHITE SQUIRREL” POKER RUN at FOSSIL FLATS TRAIL – Join us as we conclude the day’s search for The White Squirrel on this family friendly ride to five different stops on the trail, collecting cards to build a poker hand. Take your cards to the Cookout at 7pm, where the best hands will win sweet swag! SPEED: Novice DISTANCE: 3 miles
5:00pm TRIALS GROUP RIDE at LAKE DEVIL DAM Hosted by NWA BIKE TRIALS– Join RYAN BRATTON and the NWA Bike Trials riders for this spectator friendly trials group ride or watch as they navigate the Lake Devil Dam! A can’t miss exhibition by some of the top technical riders in NW Arkansas! START & END: Pool Pavilion
6:00pm PADDLE BOAT RACES at the LAKE DEVIL POOL PAVILLION – Think you’ve got the legs left to compete in spirited team paddle boat races after a full day of Ozark Mountain Biking? Grab a buddy and hop on board for this spectator friendly competition and claim bragging rights for the day!
7:00pm The 29th ANNUAL OZARK MOUNTAIN BIKE FESTIVAL COOKOUT at the LAKE DEVIL POOL PAVILLION Hosted by DEVIL’S DEN STATE PARK – Join CHEF DARRELL COX and State Park Employees in celebrating 29 years of mountain biking at Devil’s Den with burgers hot off the grill and then take a spin on the Ozark Off-Road Cyclist’s Ice Cream Bike and pedal your way to some delicious “Pedal-Made” Ice Cream. Bring your cards from the poker run to claim your swag!
